2025 ICCAC Fall Preview | Men's Soccer
As the 2025 ICCAC men's soccer season approaches, the conference sets the stage for another year of high-level competition, standout performances, and emerging talent. Region 11 remains one of the most competitive leagues in the NJCAA, with multiple national champions in recent seasons and programs capable of deep postseason runs.
In Division I, the national spotlight is on both Iowa Western and Indian Hills. Iowa Western enters the fall ranked No. 1 in the country after an undefeated 23-0-2 season and a third national championship. With a powerful attack and championship-tested roster, the Reivers are well-positioned for another title chase. Ranked No. 2 nationally, Indian Hills is coming off a historic 16-2-3 season and a trip to the national semifinals. Despite some key departures, the Warriors return proven playmakers and a strong core ready to push for the top spot.
In Division II, defending national champion Northeast opens the season ranked No. 1 after a 21-2-2 record and a record-setting 121-goal offense. With six returning players and a talented freshman class, the Hawks aim to repeat last year's success. Iowa Lakes, ranked No. 3 nationally, will look to defend its Region 11 crown after a 16-3-3 campaign and national semifinal appearance, anchored by a veteran defensive unit. Western Iowa Tech, in just its third season, is receiving national votes after matching its inaugural win total and reaching the Region 11 semifinals.
NIACC comes off its winningest season in over a decade, boasting the conference's top defense in 2024 and returning nearly its entire starting lineup. Southeastern remains a consistent contender, returning key contributors and adding international talent to an already competitive roster. Central Community College enters its first ICCAC season after posting an 11-win campaign in 2024, with an experienced core and promising newcomers ready to test themselves in one of the toughest conferences in the country.
Hawkeye looks to take a step forward, returning defensive stability while aiming to boost offensive production. Marshalltown aims to build on its .500 season, bringing in a large freshman class to complement experienced returners. Iowa Central blends experienced returners with international newcomers in pursuit of another Region 11 Tournament appearance. Northwest Iowa, in its second year, returns a now-seasoned core while adding impactful transfers as it seeks the program's first victories.
With proven champions, nationally ranked programs, and fast-rising teams, the 2025 ICCAC men's soccer season should provide drama from start to finish. Every team in the league has a reason to believe they can climb the standings, making this fall one of the most anticipated in recent memory.
