Six Honored on NJCAA All-American Softball Lists
The NJCAA announced its Division II Softball All-Americans on Wednesday, with six ICCAC student-athletes earning national recognition for their outstanding 2025 campaigns.
Headlining the honors were three First Team selections: Kierra Jungers (DMACC), Macee Reiling (DMACC), and Peyton Johnson (Kirkwood). Jungers, the ICCAC Co-Pitcher of the Year, delivered a dominant season in the circle during her first year at DMACC. Starting all 28 games she played, she compiled a remarkable 27-2 record, throwing 132.2 innings with 215 strikeouts—sixth most in the NJCAA—while maintaining a 1.53 ERA and 0.98 WHIP. She opened the season on a staggering 16-0 run, allowing only eight earned runs and averaging nine strikeouts per game during that stretch.
Joining her on the First Team was teammate Macee Reiling, the ICCAC Offensive Player of the Year, who terrorized pitchers all season long. Reiling led the NJCAA in doubles (33) and ranked 11th nationally with 97 hits, while batting .495 and tallying 88 RBI (9th in the NJCAA) and 171 total bases (12th). She also led the conference in slugging percentage at .872. Notably, Reiling recorded a 27-game hitting streak from April 3 to May 3, during which she drove in 34 runs.
Kirkwood's Peyton Johnson rounded out the First Team trio as one of the nation's top outfielders. A consistent offensive force, Johnson led the NJCAA in doubles (34), ranked third in hits (106), ninth in runs scored (83), and 11th in total bases (174). Her performance was crucial to the Eagles' success, and this marks her second All-American honor after being named to the Third Team last season.
On the Second Team, Kirkwood had two more players honored: pitcher Peyton Paulsen and infielder Kiya Johnson. Paulsen, who shared ICCAC Co-Pitcher of the Year honors with Jungers, posted a 24-3 record across 163 innings with 144 strikeouts and a 1.80 ERA—14th best in the NJCAA. She threw 18 complete games, six shutouts, and had a dominant stretch from February 28 to March 28, earning 10 straight wins while striking out 52 batters.
Kiya Johnson powered the Eagles' offense with her RBI production, finishing second in the NJCAA with 100 RBI and smashing 21 home runs, third most in the ICCAC. She also ranked 10th in total bases (176) and scored 73 runs. One of her most memorable performances came in a 19-0 win over Iowa Lakes, where she went 4-for-5 with three home runs, four runs scored, and 10 RBI.
Rounding out the ICCAC All-Americans was DMACC's Ella Husak, who earned Third Team honors. The league's batting average leader at .503, Husak was a standout base-runner and consistent offensive presence. She ranked fourth in the NJCAA with 88 runs scored and seventh in stolen bases with 51. Her 99 hits were ninth most in the nation, and she delivered a flawless 5-for-5 performance in a 10-5 win over Hawkeye, adding one RBI, three runs, and four steals.
