2025 All-Region | ICCAC Sports Shooting
The ICCAC announced its All-Region and Special Awards following the completion of the 2025 conference season. The High Over All All-Region selections were determined based on each shooter's top eight scores from the regular season and the ICCAC Championship. This included a shooter's three best Trap performances during the regular season, along with their top Skeet and Sporting Clays scores and their totals from the ICCAC Championship in each discipline.
On the men's side, there were co-ICCAC Shooters of the Year: Iowa Western's Gavin Kuck and Hawkeye's Cole Slabaugh, who tied atop the High Over All standings.
Kuck was the top shooter in Skeet triangulars this season, posting scores of 99 against both Iowa Central and Central. He recorded Trap scores of 97, 99 and 98, bringing his total to 848 of 900 targets hit. At the ICCAC Championships, Kuck finished third in Trap and Skeet and placed fifth overall, hitting 607 of 650 targets.
Slabaugh also hit 848 targets, posting Trap scores of 99, 99 and 98 and a high of 87 in Sporting Clays — the third-best mark in the ICCAC this season. His best finish at the ICCAC Championships was fourth in Skeet.
With Slabaugh's recognition, Hawkeye secured its third straight Men's Shooter of the Year award, joining past winners Chase Bindl and Colton Crooks. It was also Slabaugh's second First Team All-Region honor in High Over All.
On the women's side, Iowa Western's Payton Kruse earned ICCAC Women's Shooter of the Year honors after an outstanding season. Kruse posted Trap scores of 95, 89 and a perfect 100. Her top regular-season Sporting Clays score was 72, but she shot an 85 at the ICCAC Championships to win the event. Kruse also won the Trap, Sporting Clays and Super Sporting sections, placed runner-up in Doubles Trap and Doubles Skeet, and finished fourth in Skeet.
Kruse is the first Reiver to win the ICCAC Women's Shooter of the Year award since its inception in 2023.
Other men's First Team All-Region High Over All performers included Hawkeye's Mason Goche (835) — his second straight appearance — and Iowa Western's Karson Lea (845) and Leo Brand (847).
In Trap, Brand (498) led the field, followed closely by Iowa Western's Michael Day (493) and Slabaugh (493). Kuck (492) and Lea (490) also made the First Team All-Region in Trap.
For the women, Hawkeye's Lydia Covert (819) — her second appearance — and Abbie Hill (793) earned First Team All-Region High Over All honors. Indian Hills' Holly Boeke (812) and Iowa Western's Abby Johnson (814) made their first appearances on the list.
Returning High Over All All-Region performers from 2024 included Erin Gavin (Southeastern) and Jewell Ulrich (Iowa Central).
Iowa Western's Derek Pollock was named the 2025 ICCAC Sports Shooting Coach of the Year after leading the Reivers to a 5–0 record in Trap duals and a dominant performance at the ICCAC Championships, where they posted a 992 in Singles Trap.
Iowa Western finished with 12 High Over All All-Region selections — 10 men and two women — while Hawkeye followed with eight. Indian Hills and Central each had three, Southeastern earned two and Iowa Central had one.
