2026 NJCAA Men's Wrestling Championship Results
COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa - Indian Hills finished its dominant 2026 campaign with its second straight NJCAA Men's Wrestling national championship behind multiple individual champions and All-Americans.
Indian Hills head coach Cole Spree won his second straight national championship at the helm. Spree led the Warriors to a 9-0 record in the regular season, his second consecutive season guiding an undefeated squad.
The Warriors finished with 201.5 points, 13.5 ahead of the runner-up to secure the team title, and had three wrestlers finish first along with six others earn All-America honors.
Indian Hills had three individual national champions: Olli Webb at 133 pounds, Gavyn Whitehead at 141 pounds and Jahkari Clark at 149 pounds.
Webb, the No. 5 seed in the tournament, dominated his way through the first four rounds with a 20-3 technical fall, a 10-2 major decision, a fall in 3:32 and a 16-5 major decision. In the finals, he faced No. 2 seed Zach Marrero. Unlike his earlier matches in the bracket, this one was tight and went to overtime. At 1:16 of the extra frame, Webb got the takedown and secured the 133-pound title. It was Indian Hills' first champion in that weight class.
Much like Webb, Whitehead dominated his way to the final through multiple bonus-point victories. In the finals, he exploded for three takedowns in the first period, and that was enough to carry him to an individual title. It marked back-to-back 141-pound individual titles for Whitehead, making him the first ICCAC wrestler in that weight class to do so since Iowa Central's Jason Alfau in 2015-16.
In the 149-pound bracket, Clark won the first three rounds easily, securing technical falls in each bout before facing No. 2 seed Ayson Rice in the semifinals, where one takedown was all he needed to win and advance to the finals. He then dominated No. 4 seed Kyler Tabor 17-3 en route to the 149-pound individual title, the first for both Clark and Indian Hills.
Iowa Central finished in third place with 145.5 team points and had two wrestlers win their respective weight classes, while four others earned All-America honors. Its two national champions were Muhammad Bilal at 125 pounds and Jarrel Miller at 184 pounds.
Bilal, the No. 4 seed, came out and breezed through his competition by recording either a technical fall or a major decision in each of his first four rounds. The final was a little tougher for Bilal, but he won 7-2 to claim the 125-pound title. He became the ninth Triton to take home the 125-pound trophy and the first ICCAC athlete to win at that weight since Iowa Central's Todd Small in 2017.
Miller dominated his bracket, cruising to the crown for his first title and Iowa Central's first at 184 pounds since Tyler Hoffman won it in 2016.
Iowa Western finished in 20th place and saw one individual national champion, with Tony Palmer taking home the 197-pound trophy. Four other Reivers also earned All-America honors.
Palmer, the No. 2 seed, had some tough matches throughout his bracket. He posted victories by 9-2 decision, fall in 1:28, 13-1 major decision, 8-6 decision and 7-2 decision before facing Trevyn Gates in the final. Palmer pinned Gates for the win and secured the title. It was the first individual title for the Reivers at 197 pounds since Brett Mower won in 2023.
As for the rest of the ICCAC, NIACC finished 22nd with 18.5 points, Iowa Lakes was 23rd with 17.5 points, Hawkeye was 31st with 9.5 points, Ellsworth was 35th with 5 points and Southeastern was 42nd with 0.5 points.
