Tritons Edge Reivers to Win 2025 Indoor Title
STORM LAKE, Iowa - Iowa Central edged out a tight team race to claim the Region 11 Women's Indoor Championship, finishing with 257 points to narrowly top Iowa Western (252.5) and securing the Tritons' first team title since 2023.
The Tritons were fueled by event titles from Mechak Linda Bula Bula (200 Meters), Chadrak Belinda Bula Bula (400 Meters, 600 Meters), and Abbi Hutchinson (3000 Meters), plus a championship in the 4x400 Relay. Iowa Central also piled up crucial points in the field and multis behind wins from Kira Messerly (Pole Vault), Unitee Brown (Shot Put), and Ella Homawoo (Pentathlon) to seal the team crown.
Other event champions included Iowa Western winners Yman Ossie Tchiengue (High Jump), Shantay Augustine (60 Meters, 60 Meter Hurdles), Antonella Lanuza (800 Meters), and Juliana Sakat (Mile, 5000 Meters), along with titles in the 4x800 Relay and Distance Medley Relay.
Iowa Western also produced the meet's record-setting moments as Juliana Sakat set meet records in both the Mile and 5000 Meters.
Additional champions were Taeja Bartee (Long Jump, Triple Jump) for Iowa Western and Riley Goddard (Weight Throw) for Hawkeye.
