The ICCAC Women's Wrestling scene is set for another thrilling season as powerhouse programs, rising contenders and a new face join one of the NJCAA's most competitive conferences.
Indian Hills remains the team to beat after capturing the NJCAA national title last season in dominant fashion. Nearly the entire roster returns, including multiple national champions, giving the Warriors a strong chance to three-repeat as NJCAA Champions.tw
Iowa Central and Iowa Western headline the challengers. The Tritons placed third at nationals and bring back several All-Americans, while the Reivers finished as national runners-up and return two individual champions from last year's lineup. Both programs are expected to push Indian Hills at the top of the standings once again.
Iowa Lakes continues to rise after a top-15 national finish and an impressive recruiting class that includes multiple state and Fargo champions. Hawkeye is also trending upward, returning all of last year's starters after a solid debut season that featured multiple national qualifiers.
NIACC looks to bounce back after a rebuilding year, returning one key contributor while adding a large, promising freshman class.
Rounding out the field is Southeastern, launching its inaugural season with an ambitious roster and high expectations. The Blackhawks feature national-caliber newcomers and aim to quickly establish themselves among the conference's best.
Typically in the bunch, Ellsworth is taking a year hiatus after another coaching change and building up their roster for next season.
From top to bottom, ICCAC women's wrestling continues to set the standard for depth and competitiveness at the NJCAA level, with every program contributing to one of the strongest conferences in the country.
